Make integration

For agencies. Start a Make scenario when a client comments, replies or approves, and reply to or resolve comments from your scenarios.

Install the TweakTick app: open the Make invite link. It works for Make accounts on the EU server (your Make address starts with eu1). On another Make server (eu2, us1, us2)? Email support and we'll send the link for your server.

Connect Make

  1. In TweakTick, create an API key with the Zapier / Make / n8n preset. See the API key preset.
  2. Open the invite link for your Make region (above) and install the app, then create a scenario and add a TweakTick module.
  3. When Make asks for a connection, paste your TweakTick key.
  4. Pick a trigger and, if you like, one project.
  5. Turn the scenario on. Add a comment in TweakTick to test it.

Triggers

TriggerFires when
New commentSomeone starts a new comment thread
Comment repliedSomeone replies in a thread
Comment updatedThe assignee, priority, due date or stage changes
Status changedA comment is resolved or reopened
Round approvedA client approves a round
Changes requestedA client asks for changes on a round
New roundA new round starts

Every trigger has an optional Project filter.

About stages (In progress, Ready to check):

  • Comment updated includes the new stage only when your workspace has comment stages turned on.
  • Resolving or reopening a comment clears its stage. That fires Status changed, not Comment updated.
  • Status changed shows the actor as guest when the client resolved or reopened the comment.
  • The stage is not sent to task tools (Asana, ClickUp and the others) yet.

Actions

  • Reply to a comment. Replies are internal (agency-only) unless you choose otherwise. A client-visible reply shows on the review, but your client gets no email about it.
  • Mark a comment resolved or open.

What stays private

  • Internal (agency-only) comments are never sent by triggers.
  • Actions that read comments through the API can see internal ones, like any owner's key. Keep internal notes out of steps that post to places your client can see.
  • Client emails, tokens and signed review links are never sent.

Turning it off

Turn the scenario off, or revoke the key in Settings → API. Revoking stops every scenario that uses that key.
