Team roles and owners

For agencies. Everyone in a workspace is an owner or a member. A workspace always has at least one owner.

What owners can do

Only owners can:

  • invite and remove people, and change roles;
  • change billing;
  • manage API keys, integrations, webhooks and AI assistant (MCP) connections;
  • delete projects (Delete or archive a project) and the workspace.

Members do the review work: projects, comments, versions and clients. An owner can also limit a member to some folders (Team access).

Make someone an owner

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Next to the person, press Make owner.
  3. Confirm with your password.

We email both of you.

Remove someone's owner role, or step down

  • Another owner: press Remove owner role next to them. They stay in the workspace as a member.
  • Yourself: press Step down as owner. This only works while another owner exists. You can't undo it yourself: another owner has to make you an owner again.

Each change asks for your password, and we email the people involved.

What stops when someone is no longer an owner:

  • their REST API keys, and the Zapier, Make and n8n connections made with those keys;
  • their AI assistant (MCP) connections;
  • any TweakTick support access they gave.

These stop working right away, because they check the owner role every time they are used. They come back if the person is made an owner again.

Folder access comes back too. If the person was limited to some folders before they became an owner, that limit applies again once they are a member.

You sign in with Google and have no password

Role changes need a recent sign-in instead: they work within 15 minutes of signing in with Google. Otherwise sign out, sign in with Google again, and retry.

Remove someone from the workspace

Press Remove next to a member in Settings → Team. Their access ends at once.

You can't remove an owner in one step: remove their owner role first, then remove them. You can't remove yourself here.

Billing emails

Billing emails go to the workspace's billing contact. If that person is no longer an owner, Settings → Billing shows a notice. To change the billing contact, reply to one of the billing emails or contact TweakTick support.

Too many tries

Wrong passwords are limited to 10 tries in 15 minutes. After that, wait and try again.
