Delete or archive a project

For agencies. Archive a project you're done with. Delete it only when you want it gone for good. Only owners can delete.

Archive (everyone in the team)

  1. Open the project.
  2. Press Archive.

An archived project:

  • is read-only for your team and your clients;
  • shows the client "This review is archived" instead of the review;
  • doesn't count toward your plan's project limit;
  • keeps every comment, version and sign-off.

Find it again under Archived in the sidebar and press Restore any time.

Delete (owners only)

  1. Open the project and scroll to Delete project.
  2. Press Delete project, then Delete permanently.

This removes the project's data and files. Members see "Only owners can delete a project. Archive it instead." in that place.

The audit log records who deleted which project, and from which IP address. Owners can see it.

Sign-off records are kept after a project is deleted. They are the record of what your clients approved. See Export your data and delete your account.

Need someone else to delete a project?

Ask an owner of the workspace, or ask an owner to make you an owner (Team roles and owners).
