Passkeys

For agencies. A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN instead of an emailed code. Your phone, computer or password manager keeps it. TweakTick stores only the passkey's public key, which can't be used to sign in on its own.

Add a passkey

  1. Go to Settings → Your account → Passkeys.
  2. Give it a name if you like (for example "Work laptop") and press Add a passkey.
  3. Follow your device's prompt.

Adding a passkey needs a sign-in from the last 15 minutes. If yours is older, we ask you to confirm it's you first. We email you each time a passkey is added.

Sign in with a passkey

On the sign-in page, press Sign in with a passkey, or pick your passkey when your browser offers it in the email field.

If you turned on two-factor sign-in, we still ask for your authenticator code after the passkey.

Rename or remove a passkey

In Settings → Your account → Passkeys, press Rename or Remove next to it. Removing needs a recent sign-in too, and we email you. A removed passkey can't sign in any more. If your device still offers it, delete it in your device or password manager settings as well.

Lost the device?

Sign in with an emailed code instead and remove that passkey. Then sign out your other devices in Settings → Your account → Other devices.
