Technical details for live-site comments
For agencies. When a client comments on your live website, TweakTick can save the technical details of their visit with the comment. You see what browser they used, what went wrong on the page and what they did just before, so you can find the bug without asking.
What you see
Open a comment on the project page and press Technical details under it. There are four tabs:
- Environment: the browser and its version, the operating system, the screen size and pixel density, the language, the time zone and the page address (without anything after the
?). - Console: up to 50 errors and warnings the page logged, newest last.
- Network: up to 30 requests that failed (an error code such as 404 or 500, or no answer at all).
- Timeline: what the client did in the 2 minutes before the comment: pages opened, clicks and scrolls (up to 100 steps).
Press Copy as text to paste everything into a bug tracker.
Comments left on the live site (with the snippet, the review page or the Chrome extension) have technical details. So do team-mode comments from the Chrome extension, unless you untick Attach technical details before posting (they include the browser, screen, errors and failed requests, but no timeline). Comments on uploaded screenshots, images, PDFs and videos don't.
What is never saved
- What the client types, or what is in a form field. A click on a field shows only the kind of field, never its content.
- Cookies, saved data in the browser, and the contents or headers of requests.
- Email addresses, 6-digit codes, passwords, tokens, logins inside web addresses and everything after the
?in a web address. These are removed in the browser and removed again on our server.
There is no screen recording.
Who can see it
Only your team, and only people who can see the project. Clients never see technical details, and they are not sent in emails, webhooks, integrations, the API or MCP. They are included when you export your workspace.
Turn it off
Technical details are on by default. To turn them off for one project, open the project's Settings → Client controls and set Collect technical details to Off. To change the default for new and existing projects, go to Settings → Project defaults (workspace owners). When it is off, nothing is collected on the client's side and nothing is saved.
