Changelog
What’s new
Recent changes to TweakTick. We only list what is built and tested.
Technical details, client walkthroughs and larger videos
Most of these are switched off on the live service for now. We switch them on once they've been checked there.
- Technical details (off on the live service for now): a comment left on a live website shows your team the browser, screen size, page, console errors, failed requests and the clicks and page changes of the 2 minutes before it. Never what the client types. Clients don't see it, and you can turn it off per project.
- Client walkthrough (off on the live service for now): up to 5 short steps that show your client what to look at, each with an optional box on a page. Clients see it once when they open the review.
- Larger videos (off on the live service for now): the Large videos add-on lets each video be up to 5 GB and 60 minutes. Also fixed: videos over about 2 GB no longer fail after upload.
- Several PDFs in one round (off on the live service for now): upload up to 10 PDFs together and switch between them while reviewing. The approval covers every file.
- Image zoom (off on the live service for now): choose whether images open to fit, at full size or at 50%.
- Sticky notes and saved replies (off on the live service for now): clients can leave a yellow sticky note on PDF pages and images, and your team can save replies it uses often.
- Fewer emails for clients (off on the live service for now): replies and resolved comments arrive as one short email per project, at most every 15 minutes. Add up to 20 more people at the client, and every client can unsubscribe in one click, or turn emails back on from Manage emails. You see who unsubscribed in Settings → Guests.
- Your own board statuses (off on the live service for now): add up to 12 columns with your own names and colours.
- Refunds: a refunded Founding deal or add-on now switches off by itself, whether it was paid through Paddle or Razorpay.
Owners, two-factor sign-in and safer live-site links
Some of these are switched off on the live service for now. We switch them on once they've been checked there.
- Make another owner: owners can make a teammate an owner, remove another owner's role, or step down while another owner remains. Each change asks for your password and emails both people.
- Only owners delete projects. Teammates can still archive a project, which keeps everything and can be undone.
- Two-factor sign-in (off on the live service for now): a code from an authenticator app after your password or Google, with 10 backup codes.
- Change your email (off on the live service for now) in Settings → Your account, confirmed by a link to the new address.
- Live-site links are short-lived: "Review on the live site" now carries a one-time code that works for 5 minutes, never your client's own review link. Older links keep working until 31 Dec 2026.
- Screenshot comments on the live site: when we can find the same spot with confidence, a comment made on a screenshot shows on the real page as a dashed "approximate" pin.
- PDF size shown honestly: PDFs can be up to 50 MB, and that's the figure shown everywhere.
- Smaller fixes: tags from folders you can't see stay hidden, spreadsheet-safe CSV exports, and stricter browser security rules on app pages.
Stages, folders in folders and team access
- Comment stages: mark a comment In progress or Ready to check. The Comments board has a column for each, and your client sees the stage.
- Clients can resolve comments when you allow it (Settings → Defaults, or per project), also comments from an earlier version.
- Emails point to the exact comment: "V2 · #3" in the subject, and the button opens that comment. Each comment also has a Copy link.
- Folders inside folders, up to three levels.
- Team access: owners can limit a team member to some folders. They then see nothing else, in the app, emails, the Inbox or the mobile app.
Waitlist and comparison pages
- A public waitlist page and "TweakTick vs …" comparison pages, so people can find us before launch.
- An audit log now records owner-level security actions, such as keys and members added or removed.
Review videos and PDFs
- PDF review: upload a PDF; clients comment on each page and approve the whole file. The sign-off record covers the original PDF and every page.
- Video review: upload a video; clients pin comments to a moment in it.
- Large uploads resume after a break instead of starting again.
Accounts, teams and invite-only links
- Sign in with your own account; invite teammates into a workspace.
- Invite-only review links: only the people you invite can open a link. They confirm with a 6-digit code sent to their email. Removing someone ends their access at once.
Arrows, voice notes and the hub embed
- Clients can draw an arrow and record a short voice note with a comment.
- Put the client review hub inside your own site or client portal (embed).
Plans, billing and the Founding 100
- Monthly plans and lifetime tiers, with clear limits on the Billing page.
- The Founding 100 lifetime deal: pay once, keep TweakTick for life.
Chrome extension and bookmarklet
- Clients can review sites that block the snippet: with the TweakTick extension for Chrome, or a one-click bookmarklet.
A new review page
- Version picker (V1, V2 …), device sizes, Browse and Comment modes, zoom on screenshots.
- Clicking a comment opens it right at its pin.
Faster, sleeker commenting
- The comment box opens next to the pin; Cmd/Ctrl+Enter sends.
- Bold, italic, lists and up to 3 image attachments per comment.
- A new look across the app and the review toolbar.
Better screenshots
- Screenshots wait out loading screens, close pop-ups and load lazy images first, so far fewer pages come out blank or broken.
